What Is the Fly Out Activity?
In this immersive team building game, participants receive a flat-pack kit with materials and plans to construct a life-sized airplane made entirely of cardboard. Teams must assign roles, manage resources, and follow a blueprint to build the structure—while balancing time, accuracy, and creativity.
Once completed, teams personalize their aircraft using custom decals, colors, and logos, creating a strong sense of identity and pride. But that’s just the beginning.
The real test begins during the race phase. Teams must navigate their planes through a designated obstacle course, using speed, precision, and flawless coordination to reach the finish line. The team with the best time and smoothest navigation wins.
How it works?
Briefing and Team Formation
Teams are formed and briefed on objectives, rules, and safety protocols. A clear goal is set: build the best-performing plane within the time limit.
Plane Construction Phase
Teams begin assembling their aircraft using the provided kit. This phase demands effective communication, time management, and delegation of roles.
Customization and Identity
Once built, each team personalizes their plane—choosing team colors, logos, and names to express creativity and unity.
Race and Obstacle Navigation
The race begins! Teams must carry or guide their aircraft through an obstacle course, staying in sync and managing turns, barriers, and balance.
Debrief and Team Reflection
After the challenge, a facilitator leads a group discussion to reflect on decision-making, leadership, and group dynamics during the game.
